What we check

21 checks across three areas

Most free SEO checkers stop at titles and meta tags. This audit also checks the signals that decide whether AI search tools can understand and quote your page.

  • Meta description written to earn the click
  • H1 heading one clear main heading
  • Heading structure logical H2/H3 hierarchy
  • Image alt text descriptive alt on images
  • Link profile internal and external links
  • Content length enough depth to rank

Technical SEO 8 checks

  • HTTPS / SSL secure connection
  • Mobile viewport mobile-friendly setup
  • Canonical tag no duplicate-URL confusion
  • Indexability not blocked by noindex
  • Open Graph tags rich previews when shared
  • Server response how fast the server replies
  • Page size lean HTML that loads quickly
  • HTTP status the page returns 200 OK

AI Readiness 6 checks

  • Structured data schema.org markup
  • FAQ schema questions AI can lift
  • Answer-first content direct answers up top
  • Entity markup who you are, clearly defined
  • AI-parseable structure lists, tables, sections
  • Social presence linked brand profiles
How it works

How to run a free SEO audit

  1. Enter a page URL. Paste the full address of the page you want to check, such as your homepage or a key service page.
  2. Click Analyze Now. Our server fetches the live page and runs all 21 checks on its HTML, headers and structured data. It takes a few seconds.
  3. Fix and re-test. Start with failed checks, then warnings. Re-run the audit after each change to confirm the fix and watch your score climb.

What your SEO score means

70–100Strong

The page has solid fundamentals. Focus on content depth and AI-readiness to pull ahead of competitors.

50–69Needs work

There are clear quick wins. Fixing a few warnings, often titles, metas or schema, can lift the page noticeably.

0–49At risk

Important elements are missing or broken. Fix failed checks first; they are likely holding the page back.

Quick wins

The 5 most common issues and how to fix them

1. Missing or weak meta description

Write a unique 140–155 character summary that includes the main keyword and a reason to click. In WordPress, edit it in Rank Math or Yoast.

2. No H1, or several H1s

Use exactly one H1 that states what the page is about. Page builders often turn logos or banners into extra H1s; change those to a paragraph or H2.

3. No structured data

Add Organization or LocalBusiness schema site-wide, plus Service, Article or FAQPage schema on the pages where it fits. It is one of the strongest AI-readiness signals.

4. Images without alt text

Describe each meaningful image in a few words. It helps accessibility, image search and AI understanding. Decorative images can stay empty.

5. Thin content

Pages under roughly 300 words rarely rank. Answer the visitor’s main question first, then add details, FAQs and proof such as reviews or examples.

Why AI-readiness

Search now answers. Make sure it quotes you.

Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini increasingly answer questions directly instead of showing ten blue links. These tools favour pages they can parse with confidence: clear headings, direct answers, schema markup and well-defined entities.

Traditional SEO tools rarely measure this. Our AI-readiness checks show whether your page gives AI systems what they need to understand your business and cite it as a source.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Is this SEO audit tool really free?

Yes. The audit is 100% free, with no signup or credit card. You see your full score and every check on screen. We only ask for an email if you want to download the PDF report.

What does the free SEO audit check?

It runs 21 checks in three groups: on-page SEO (title, meta description, headings, image alt text, links, content length), technical SEO (HTTPS, mobile viewport, canonical tag, indexability, Open Graph, server response, page size, HTTP status) and AI-readiness (schema markup, FAQ schema, answer-first content, entity markup, AI-parseable structure and social signals).

Does it audit my whole website?

No. It audits one URL at a time, so you can check your homepage, a service page or a blog post separately. For a full-site crawl covering every page, Core Web Vitals, backlinks and competitors, book a free strategy call with our team.

What is a good SEO score?

A score of 70 or above (green) means the page has strong fundamentals. 50–69 (yellow) means there are clear quick wins. Below 50 (red) means important elements are missing that are likely holding the page back in Google and AI search.

What is AI-readiness and why does it matter?

AI-readiness measures how easily AI search tools such as Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini can understand and quote your page. Clear structure, schema markup, direct answers and entity signals make it more likely your business is cited in AI answers, not just listed in blue links.

Will a higher score guarantee better rankings?

No tool can guarantee rankings. The score shows how well a page follows proven on-page, technical and AI-readiness best practices. Fixing the failed checks removes common barriers, while rankings also depend on content quality, backlinks and competition.

How often should I run an SEO audit?

Run it whenever you publish or redesign a page, after plugin or theme updates, and at least once a month for your most important pages. Small changes such as a new page builder layout can remove titles, headings or schema without you noticing.

Can I audit a competitor’s page?

Yes. Enter any public URL. Comparing your page with a competitor that outranks you is a quick way to spot missing schema, thin content or weaker headings.
